The opening two weeks of racing at Big Diamond Speedway have produced some highly competitive competition in all three weekly divisions. This Friday, April 21st the Xcel 600 Modifieds will join the party to display their brand of action-packed racing. This division always puts on a good show when they show up at Big Diamond.
Of course, it will be the Quandel Concrete 358 Modifieds that will be headlining the show. The first two weeks were won by the tracks’ all-time feature winners in Craig Von Dohren and Duane Howard. Will this be the week that the driver next in-line in Big Diamond win totals gets it done with that being Jeff Strunk? Drivers such as Louden Reimert, Mike Gular, Rick Laubach, Eddie Strada, Ryan Watt, Nick Rochinski and a host of other drivers will be in attendance all trying to get their first win of the season. Craig Von Dohren leads the race for the Quandel Concrete Modified championship over Alex Yankowski, Louden Reimert, Jeff Strunk and Eddie Strada after two weeks.
The USS Achey Crate 602 Sportsman will be in action on Friday and so far after two weeks it has been the Logan Watt show. The driver known as ½ Watt has won both races so far this season, but they haven’t been easy with the likes of Talan Carter, Jordan Henn, Brandon Edgar, Nick Desantis, Danny Buccafusca each taking turns chasing Watt across the line. The Crates have shown up this year providing the fans with close competitive racing and there is no reason to think that will not continue going forward. Logan Watt is the current points leader over Talan Carter, Jordan Henn, Brandon Edgar & Kevin Olenick.
The Big Creek Concrete Rookie Crate 602 Sportsman will race in their 15-lap feature race. The rookies have been exciting as they learn the nuances of driving a sportsman modified. Bryce Bashore and Jax Yohn won the first two rookie races this season.
The Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunners division has been hotly contested so far this season with Alex Schoffstall and Chuck Fayash battling both weeks for supremacy. So far the scorecard reads Schoffstall 2 and C Fayash 0. Will this be the week that Fayash can put his car in victory lane? You know that it will be another royale between the two veterans. With his two wins, Schoffstall leads in the points over Fayash, CJ Ferguson, Terry Kramer & Kris Ney.
Pit gates will open at 5:00 PM with Grandstand gate opening at 5:30 PM

Warmups will get underway at 7:15 PM with racing starting at 7:45 PM
