Spread the word! We’re hosting our first Trunk or Treat on October 31, Halloween night! We’re looking for more people who would like to host a trunk to hand out candy! Send Jake or myself a message or comment under this post if you’d like to come host a trunk that evening. So much fun! You can decorate your trunks/vehicles if you like, or you can just set up some candy. It's as easy or as elaborate as you'd like to be. We’re super excited! Friday night it was the USS Achey Sportsman turn to headline the evening’s racing card and they did not disappoint. It was a battle of the titans as Craig Whitmoyer and 2019 USS Achey Sportsman champion Doug Hendricks fought side by side for over 15 laps with Whitmoyer winning the war to take home the $1800 first place check. Rick Laubach returns to victory lane at Big Diamond Speedway.

For Rick Laubach, visiting victory lane at Big Diamond Speedway used to be a fairly regular occurrence. The former track champion has always been a contender at the 4/10’s mile dirt oval. However, the wins have become few and far in between the past few years. In fact, Laubach’s last win at the speedway dates back to August 12, 2016 a little over three years ago.Read More....

The “Ringoes Rocket” Ryan Godown had enough of being fast every Friday night and not being able to get to the front quick enough to take the win. Friday night Godown was on a mission, the Ringoes, NJ driver went out and promptly won his heat and then went on to dominate the nights 25-lap main event for his second win of the season. 7/28/19 Pauch Jr dominates Modified feature event at Big Diamond Speedway, Hendricks continues Sportsman dominance.
After wheeling the Brietenstein No. 14 the past two week at Big Diamond, Billy Pauch Jr returned this Friday to the seat of his own No. 15 and promptly went out and put a whipping on the staunch Modified field to win the 25-lap Insinger Performance Modified feature event. After a rare DNF last Friday, Doug Hendricks returned to his winning ways to take the USS Achey Sportsman feature. The Insigner Performance Modifieds have been added to this Friday’s show at Big Diamond Speedway. The addition of the Modifieds will make this week’s show a huge show. Along with the always exciting 358 Modifieds will be the USS Achey Sportsman, Savage 61 Road Runners, Eash’s Towing & Recovery Street Stocks, Central PA Legends and the 600 Modifieds. Von Dohren wins fifth of the year at Big Diamond, Drevicki wins USAC Wingless feature.

With extreme heat blanketing the Mid-Atlantic region, veteran driver Craig Von Dohren remained cool as he worked his way through the tough Big Diamond field to win his fifth Insinger Performance Modified feature of the season. Umbenhauer takes first career victory at Big Diamond, Jeff Haag grabs Street Stock cash.

Chamber of commerce weather greeted the fans on Friday as Big Diamond Speedway was back in action on Ladies night. Taking his first ever modified victory at the speedway was Jared Umbenhauer as he held off a star studded top five. Doug Hendricks returned to his winning ways in the sportsman division winning his fifth feature of the season. With some extra cash available for the Street Stocks, it was Jeff Haag finally reaching victory lane in 2019 and TJ Fitzpatrick taking the win in the Road Runner division. Read More....

Duane Howard and the Norm Hansell No. 357 team have struggled so far in 2019 at the Big Diamond Speedway. The team has showed speed this season, but a run of bad luck has prevented the team from visiting victory lane. After the huge disappointment last season when Craig Von Dohren passed leader Ryan Godown on a late race restart to win the Topless feature event, the Ringoes, NJ driver was more determined than ever to not let that happen again this year. Modifieds going topless on Friday night at Big Diamond Speedway in 40-lap, $5000 to win feature event.

After successful inaugural event in 2018, the Modifieds will once again go topless this Friday night June 14th at the Big Diamond Speedway in a $5000 to win 40-lap main event as part of Savage 61 night. The Insigner Performance Modifieds will race with no roofs, no windows or posts giving the fans a chance to see their heroes twisting the wheel as they maneuver around the smooth dirt track oval. Last year’s topless race produced a slugfest between two of Big Diamond’s best as Craig Von Dohren and Ryan Godown battled until the end with Von Dohren coming out on top. With picture perfect weather adorning the speedway highlighted by a stunning sunset, the action was just as good on the track Friday night at the Big Diamond Speedway. With the Insigner Performance Modifieds given the night off, the spotlight on the night was the USAC Wingless 360 sprints. For the second time in 2019 the Northeast USAC Wingless Sprint cars will head to Big Diamond Speedway this Friday June 7th as part of Kid’s Night. After five weeks of cancellations Big Diamond Speedway was finally able to get a full night of racing in the books on Eash’s Towing and Recovery/Youth Group night. Once again though Mother Nature tried to derail the night’s activities when a hard rain hit the speedway around an hour or so before the racing was to begin. But the track persevered and continues on with the night’s racing and the large crowd on hand was able to witness a night of great competitive racing.Read More....

Once again last Friday the weather refused to cooperate with Big Diamond Speedway allowing the 2019 to get underway. Arriving at the track last Friday, bright sunshine covered the area. Rain postpones Big Diamond season opener to Friday, April 19th, “Money in the Mountains” race now scheduled for April 26th.

Mother Nature has decided yet again to put a damper on the start of the racing season at the Big Diamond Speedway. Friday’s forecasted rain for the evening has forced the Smulley’s to push back the season opener to Friday night April 19th. Big Diamond Speedway set for 48th season opener on Friday April, 12th as part of Schaeffer’s Motorsports Night

This Friday night April 12th will be go time at the Big Diamond Speedway as the track nestled up God’s country will swing open the gates as they begin their 2019 season with some extra cash on the line for both the Insinger Performance 358 Modifieds and the USS Achey Sportsman. Successful first practice for Big Diamond Speedway, This Friday’s scheduled practice moved to Sunday April 7th.

Racers from all divisions took part in a very successful practice session last Sunday at the Big Diamond Speedway. It was a chance for teams and drivers to get some much-needed track time on the new clay surface that was put down over the winter. From all reports the track held up well and drivers were very pleased with the new Clay. Read More....

Friday, April 5: 
-Open practice, open to any type of race car with a roll cage. Gates open at 6:00pm, practice 7-9pm. Grandstands are free, pits are $30. 
-Enduro dash 50 and Vintage will start at 9:30pm, pit fees are $30 for Big Diamond/Vintage members and $40 for non members, grandstands are free. 
Enduro registration forms are on the website.

•Reserved seats can be marked and paid for at either practice. 
•Sunoco fuel will be available at the Speedway.
•Pit licenses and season passes will be available.

All systems go for two days of practice at Big Diamond Speedway.

This Sunday March 31st Big Diamond Speedway will swing open the gates for the first time in 2019 for two big days of practice. It will be the first-time teams; drivers and the fans will have a chance see and to get a feel for the new dirt surface that was laid down on the Speedway over the winter months with the first of two scheduled practice dates set to take place.
