Gular closes out his championship season in winning night #2 of the Diamond Nationals. Tyler Peet, Brad Brightbill, Seth Reichert, Alex Schoffstall (2) and Jim Kost also victorious.  

A short but very successful season has come to a close at the Big Diamond Speedway Saturday night with the running of day #2 of the Diamond Nationals. It was only fitting that this years Insigner Performance Modified champion Mike Gular was the winner of the 40-lap big block/small block challenge taking home a check worth $5,000. Brad Brightbill was the winner of the USS Achey Open Sportsman feature with Tyler Peet becoming the first driver in 2020 to become a two-time winner in the Savage 61 Crate Sportsman Division. The Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunners four crazy eight’s features were won by Seth Reichert, Alex Schoffstall (2) and Jim Kost.    Read More....

It was a very successful return for night one of the 2020 Diamond Nationals sponsored by Red White and Blue Autos at Big Diamond Speedway. The “Diamond Nationals” return to Big Diamond Speedway on Oct 9th & 10th  

Despite a year that has been turned upside down due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, Big Diamond Speedway has had a banner year. Yes, we might’ve started later than usual but once the season got underway, the support we have received from the drivers, teams and especially the fans has been fantastic. Mike Lisowski wins first ever Modified feature at Big Diamond, Mike Gular crowned 2020 points champion.  

It was a cool, clear crisp night up in the mountains Friday night as the Big Diamond Speedway presented week number two of the their extended fall season and just like last Friday we saw a new winner in victory lane in the Insigner Performance Modifed division. Mike Lisowski took advantage of Craig Whitmoyer’s misfortune to take the 25-lap $4,000 to win feature event. Friday night was also the last week of points for the Modifieds and it was Mike Gular winning his first ever Big Diamond Points title. Brandon Edgar was the winner of the USS Achey Open Sportsman feature with Steve Lyle the victor in the Savage 61 Crates. Alan Barker wins first career modified feature at Big Diamond on a night of firsts.  

It was a night of firsts on Friday night at Big Diamond Speedway on Savage 61 night.. Every winning driver from each division won their first ever feature race at the Minersville dirt oval. Alan Barker (Insigner Performance Modifieds), Cole Stangle (USS Achey Open Sportsman), Tyler Peet (Savage 61 Crate 602 Sportsman), Seth Reichert (Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunners) and Tyler Lucas (Enduros) all stood in victory lane on Friday night for the first time.   Read More....

Ryan Watt dominates to win first ever Jack Rich, Inc. Coalcracker 72  

After trying for many years to win the crown jewel of races at the Big Diamond Speedway, Ryan Watt was finally able to take home the checkered flag in the $17,000 to win Jack Rich, Inc Coalcracker 72, his first ever Coalcracker win. Watt did it in dominating fashion leading all but two of the 72-lap classic to take home a record winner’s share of almost $20,000 with lap money included. Brad Brightbill wins the Coalcracker 40 Open Sportsman feature to open huge weekend at Big Diamond.  

Under picture perfect weather condition, the Coalcracker weekend at Big Diamond Speedway got underway with the running of the Coalcracker 40 Open Sportsman race on Fire Management and Control night. Once again it was the Brad Brightbill leading the way and winning his fourth feature of the year taking home the $1600 first place prize. Ronnie Suhr Jr won his first career feature in the Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunner division while Jason Geesaman was back on top taking the Hellers Gas Street Stock feature. Coalcracker Weekend 2020 set to get underway at Big Diamond Speedway  

After losing last Friday’s racing card to weather, all eyes will turn to this Friday Sept 4th and Sunday Sept 6th as Big Diamond promoters Jake and Jasmine Smulley present the annual Coalcracker weekend which will culminate with the running of the Jack Rich, Inc. Coalcracker 72 for the Insigner Performance Modifieds. Just as it was in 2019, this year’s Coalcracker 72 will see the winner of this classic race take home a nice $17,000 payday. Jeff Strunk wins the Prelude to the Coalcracker after titanic battle with Billy Pauch Jr. Brandon Edgar repeats in Sportsman. Alex Schoffstall and Ryan Smith also take home the checkers.  

If last nights Prelude to the Coalcracker was a preview of what we can expect to see at the Jack Rich, Inc. Coalcracker 72 in two weeks, then prepare yourself folks it is going to be a GREAT one. Jeff Strunk came from starting 13th to win his second feature of the season aboard the Butch Getz No. 15S after a scintillating battle with Billy Pauch Jr in the Insigner Performance Modifeds 40-lap feature race. For the second week in a row Brendan Edgar held off Brad Brightbill for the win in the USS Achey Open Sportsman feature. Prelude to the Coalcracker on tap this Friday night August 21st at Big Diamond Speedway  

 This week at the Big Diamond Speedway, promoters Jasmine and Jake Smulley present the annual “Prelude to the Coalcracker” race for the Insigner Performance Modifieds. This year’s race will be a 40-lap main event paying a cool $4000 to the winner. This race provides a tune-up for the richest race of the season which is of course the annual “Coalcracker 72” which pays a whopping $17,000 to the winner which will take place this year on Sunday September 6th. Mike Gular takes charge and wins his 2nd feature of 2020 at Big Diamond. Brandon Edgar, Joe Toth, TJ Fitzpatrick and Sam Sciccitano also victorious  

Mike Gular was a man on a mission Friday night at the Big Diamond Speedway as he charged through the field from his 12th starting spot to win the 25-lap Insinger Performance Modified feature on Friday night as part of USS Achey / Fayash Memorial Night. Gular and his Terry Fastnacht owned No. 2A team took home a nice payday of $3000. Brandon Edgar held off a late challenge from Brad Brightbill to win the 20-lap USS Achey Sportsman feature. It was another new winner in victory lane on Friday in the Savage 61 Crate 602 class as Joe Toth won with a last lap pass of Sammy Martz Jr. TJ Fitzpatrick was the winner in the Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunner feature while Sam Sciccitano stood in victory lane in the Xcel 600 Mod class.  Read More....

With Mother Nature interfering for the second time in the 2020 season, Big Diamond speedway will return this Friday night August 14th with the running of the Fayash Memorial Race that was originally scheduled for this past Friday. It’s two in a row for Alex Yankowski at Big Diamond, Brightbill, Buccafusca and Ney all winners.  

Young Alex Yankowski became the first driver in the Insigner Performance Modified division to return to victory lane in 2020. Yankowski who just turned sixteen only a week ago dominated the feature event after taking the lead on a restart from Jared Umbenhauer. Brad Brightbill continued his dominance in the USS Achey Open Sportsman division and the Savage 61 Crate Division produced another first-time winner. After a week off courtesy of Mother Nature, Big Diamond Speedway sprang back into action Friday night as part of Insigner Performance night with the crowd-pleasing twin 20’s for the Insigner Performance Modifieds. At the end of the night it was Matt Stangle and Jeff Strunk standing in victory lane with each taking a win.  It will be huge night of racing action this Friday July 3rd at the Big Diamond Speedway with the track’s annual presentation of the Georgie Stevenson Memorial on B&H Landscaping Night. The Insigner Performance Modifeds will compete in a 30-lap main event with the winner receiving a $4,000 payday. It was another beautiful night for racing at the Minersville, PA dirt oval on Heller’s Gas night. With another large crowd on hand for the third consecutive week, Craig Von Dohren was finally able to grab his first win of the season with a dominating performance in the Insigner Performance Modifieds. The USS Achey open sportsman were back in action with Glenn Rowan winning his first ever career victory. Mike Gular powers to Big Diamond victory, Robbie Stillwagon wins URC season opener. Cody Manmiller wins his first ever sportsman feature.

Fighting the weather all night, Big Diamond Speedway persevered and the large crowd of fans on hand were treated to another great night of racing. The always consistent Mike Gular finally was able to grab that elusive victory he was searching for at Big Diamond. Gular had last won at the speedway back in July of 2011. The winged warriors of the United Racing Club opened up their season last night and it was Robbie Stillwagon standing in victory lane after leading all 25 laps. Second generation driver Cody Manmiller who just moved up from the 600cc Modifieds to the crate sportsman division visited victory lane in only his second race at the speedway. Jared Umbenhauer wins a thriller on opening night at Big Diamond Speedway before a standing room only crowd.

To say that last night’s season opener at Big Diamond Speedway was a success would be a gross understatement. With picture perfect weather and being the first weekly track on the PA / NJ circuit to return to action after the COVID-19 restrictions the script had been written. With the grandstands and the pits both packed with cars and people, it was just up to the racing action to make the night an overwhelming success and believe me the racing action was spectacular. Busy week ahead as Big Diamond Speedway roars to life in 2020
As the 2020 season starts to get underway, it will be a quick start this upcoming week for the Big Diamond Speedway.
On Friday night June 12th it will be opening night presented by Fire Management of Pennsylvania. The Insigner Performance 358 Modifieds will headline the night with a 30-lap, $4000 to win main event. Craig Von Dohren was the winner of the 2019 opener and will be on-hand to try and repeat last year’s feat along with defending his 2019 track title.Read More....

The ‘Anthracite Assault’ at Big Diamond Speedway has been rescheduled for Tuesday, June 16. This will be Race No. 3 of the Velocita-USA South Region presented by Design For Vision and Sunglass Central and Race No. 1 of the Halmar International North Region for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series Fueled By Sunoco Modifieds.
STSS Modifieds 50 laps, $5,000 to win, $1,000 for 10th and $400 to start.
STSS Crate 602 Sportsman take part in Race No. 3 of the South Region: 25 laps, $1,500 to win, $100 to start.
This event will be open to fans and streamed on Dirt Track Digest TV.
