Friday, April 25 races at Big Diamond Speedway canceled due to rainy conditions

Big Diamond Speedway was forced to cancel Friday evening’s racing program due to an incoming storm front that brought rain across the region. Despite hopes that the rain would stay north, showers started just before the pit gates were to open, with more expected later in the evening.

The United Racing Club (URC) 360-winged Sprint Cars where slated to be in action along with the Quandel Concrete 358 Modifieds, Red White and Blue Autos Inc., Road Runners and the Big Creek Concrete Rookie 602 Crate Sportsman.

URC will be back later this year, on Friday, August 22.

Looking ahead there will be no racing next Friday, May 2. Instead, the Speedway is hosting a very special event that is taking place Saturday and Sunday, May 3 & 4 and featuring the extremely popular 2X Monster Truck Live Tour Show. Both shows take place in the afternoon and information including advance tickets can be found at: https://www.2xmonstertrucks.com/pottsville-pa-2025 and https://www.2xmonstertrucks.com/

Race cars will be back in action on Friday, May 9, which kicks off the Month of Money at Big Diamond Speedway.

The 602 Crate Classic will be on tap which is a 30-lap/$3000-to-win feature for the Sportsman division. Also going after big bucks will be the 358 Modifieds that are vying for a $6000-to-win payday. The Roadrunners and Rookie Crate Sportsman are also on the ticket.
