Friday night racing at Big Diamond Speedway postponed to Sunday, May 18

A heavy morning deluge of rain that swept across the area of Big Diamond Speedway has turned track conditions into a muddy mess and left management no other choice but to pull the plug on this evening’s races.

However, all is not lost as the speedway will be using a rain-date of Sunday, May 18.

Tony’s Meat Market Night will be headlined by the 602 Crate Classic for the USS Achey Inc., 602 Crate Sportsman who will be racing for $3000-to-win in a 30-lap feature.

The Quandel Concrete 358 Modifieds will battle in a 25-lap contest that will award the winner $6000. Also on the card will be the Red White and Blue Autos Inc., Roadrunners and Big Creek Concrete Rookie 602 Crate Sportsman.

Both grandstand and pits gates will open Sunday at 3:00 pm. Hot laps will roll out at 5:00 pm with racing to follow.

Adult general admission is $25, seniors $23, students aged 10-15 $10 and kids 9 and under are free. Pits are $35 for members and $45 for non-members.
