KEYSTONE SPORT COMPACT SERIES INKED FOR FIVE RACE NIGHTS THIS SEASON AT BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY

(3-8-26) When the 4-cylinder stockers debuted at Big Diamond Speedway last season, they made quite an impression, so much so that in 2026 the sub-compact stock car division, under the banner of the Keystone Sport Compact Series, has been invited back for five shows.

Last year’s race was a barnburner event with the front-wheel-drive, 4-cylinder cars which turned out to be thrilling race with plenty of close action and a down-to-the wire finish.

“It’s great to be coming back to Big Diamond Speedway and for five shows too. We had a lot of good feedback from last year’s race and people are really looking forward to us racing more this season,” said Series Director Tammy Wollyung.

“Our guys had such a blast there and everyone felt the track is fast and the competitiveness of it and just the whole atmosphere of being there.”

The Keystone Sport Compact Series will have their first appearance on Friday, April 24, which is Tony’s Meat Market Night. They then return for BQ Concrete Night on May 29,

When the Georgie Stevenson Memorial takes place on July 3 for B & H Landscaping Night, the group will be part of the night’s race card.

Durdach Bros. Night on July 25 will be the next event for the club and when the season finale Jack Rich Inc., Coalcracker takes place on Sunday, September 6, the Series will also be in the line-up of classes in action.

“We’re super excited to be part of the Coalcracker and knowing just how big that event is it will be great exposure for us. We’re very thrilled that Jake (Smulley/track owner) thought about us for that big race,” said Wollyung.

Last year there were two shows slated, however the first was rained-out. When they did get to race on August 22, there was a respectable 20 cars signed-in and Wollyung anticipates those numbers to be even better throughout 2026.

“We know we’ll have good car counts this year and we also have a committed sponsor that will be part of all our shows. Infinite Solutions Group LLC who are a full-service general contractor,” she added.

She also noted that many drivers will be looking to take in the Open Practice session that is slated for Sunday, March 29 from noon to 4:00 pm.
