FRITZ ROEHRIG MEMORIAL MONEY IN THE MOUNTAINS/DBR INDUSTRIAL SERVICES LLC NIGHT THIS FRIDAY AT BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY…$10G-TO-WIN DOUBLES TO $20G IF 45 OR MORE 358 MODS SIGN-IN; $1000-TO-WIN 602 CRATE MODS

(4-6-26) Thanks to the vision of Fritz Reohrig, Big Diamond Speedway in Minersville has thrived for the past 54 years. In 1971, he and Dom Muscara created the track near Forestville after a surface mining job.

The decision to name the track “Big Diamond Raceway” was inspired by the vein of coal that had recently been mined in the area. This vein, known as the “Big Diamond” not only symbolized the region’s rich mining heritage but also provided a fitting name for the new racing venue.

In 1972, the track officially opened and from that moment on, Big Diamond Speedway became an integral part of the area’s racing scene.

Fritz, who also raced for a time, passed away in July of 2019 but his legacy lives on and this Friday evening, April 10, Big Diamond Speedway is honored to present the annual Fritz Roehrig Memorial Money in the Mountains which is DBR Industrial Service LLC Night.

The Fritz Roehrig Memorial Money in the Mountains promises a big payout for winners in the BQ Concrete 358 Modifieds and USS Achey 602 Crate Modifieds.

Modifieds will battle in a 50-lap feature that pays $10,000-to-win, however, just like last year if 45 or more cars are signed in and make a valid qualifying attempt then that amount will double on the spot.

Last year’s race saw Louden Reimert take the win and the $20,000 in a barnburner over Logan Watt, marking the highest payout in track history.

Also having the opportunity to gain additional first place cash will be the 602 Crate Sportsman division which will be racing in a 20-lap feature paying $1000-to-win.

The Red White and Blue Autos Inc., Roadrunners and Big Creek Concrete Rookie 602 Crate Sportsman fill out the card.
