(6-22-26) Big Diamond Speedway swings back into action this coming Friday evening, June 26 for Dukmen’s Enterprises Topless Night which will consist of the BQ Concrete 358 Modifieds and USS Achey Inc. 602 Crate Sportsman running without the top roof decks of their cars which makes for a unique and entertaining perspective to the fans and for drivers, it provides a slight change from the way they are accustomed to navigating the 3/8-mile dirt oval.
It will be a profitable evening for both classes too as the Modifieds will be racing 30 laps and vying for a the top prize of $7000 while the Sportsman winner will be picking up $1000 for the win.
Drivers will draw for starting spots and receive 25 “show-up” points.
Filling out the race card will be the Red White and Blue Autos Inc., Roadrunners plus the only appearance of the season for the East Coast Legends Series with their feature awarding $500 to the winner.
The night is being sponsored by Dukmen Enterprises Inc., of Schuylkill Haven. They are electrical, landscape and excavation contractors who provide 24/7 emergency services. You can reach them at 570-728-4114.
Adult admission is $28 per person. Students age 10 – 15 are $10 and under 9 free. Pit admission is $35 for members and $45 non-members.
Pits open at 5:00 pm and grandstands at 5:30 pm. Hot laps will begin at 7:00 pm with racing to follow.
Coming up in two weeks on Friday, July 3, it’s the annual Georgie Stevenson Memorial on B & H Landscaping Night. The 358 Modifieds will be contesting in Twin-20 lap features, and the 602 Crate Sportsman will be battling in a $1000-to-win main event. Roadrunners and the Keystone Sport Compact Series will also be racing plus fans will be treated to a spectacular Fireworks display.
